Guy Jones is a Time Served blacksmith who gained a diploma with the Worshipful Company of Farriers "London" in 1996 after a four year apprenticeship. Since then he has worked in Zimbabwe, Kuala Lumpur, and Australia and spent time shoeing race horses at the Singapore TurfClub in 2001.
Returning home he set up a busy shoeing practice including shoeing at polo yards in Cheshire and all manner of equine needing shoes and hoofcare.
A reoccurring back problem meant it was time to lessen the amount of shoeing and get back in the smithy a bit more, having been in the Welsh apprentice team at shoemaking competitions and as an individual winning at county shows at apprentice level. The artistic side was brought out in the shape of a brazier.
In 2003 Guy and fellow apprentice Darren Ainsworth, also a talented blacksmith came 3rd at the 15th Biennial of the Blacksmiths World Forging Championships in Stia, Italy. He successfully undertook a Wheelwrighting course in Hereford in 2006.
Now in 2007 is the LE BRAZIER BBQ.
Traditionally made and riveted together, it is built to really last. It can be left out in all weathers. In the winter it will burn leaves, twigs and all manners of garden waste, cardboard etc. An ideal incinerator. On Summer or chilly nights it is a fantastic outdoor fire basket and focal point. The tray insert and beautiful grille accessories allow even cooking of steak, sausages and all manner of BBQ foodstuffs to give a real taste of the outdoors. Ash is collected in the generous ash pan. It is the king of braziers - sure to impress you and your friends.
This is it for you!
I am proud to put quality blacksmithing in the marketplace, it leaves the smithy matt black painted in the high temp 300°C quality point. If you buy cheap you buy twice, believe me!
Regards,
Guy
